All the mounts are equal, so it’s just cosmetic if you already have one mount.

As people have already said, it’s the same speed as every other mount. If you visit a lot of worlds where mounts are enabled, or play jet race a lot, then I’d recommend it, otherwise, it’s quite expensive if you just want the jet itself, but you do get the gems too, so if you want gems, it’s definitely worth it, since you get a free item alongside them.
