Wiring The Guide Chapter 1: The Basics

Introduction:
Let’s just say for the record, a LOT of people have no idea how to wire. It is the redstone of Pixel Worlds. It is complicated and time consuming. People only use them for P2P and parkour most of the time (not really for other purposes) So, after a while of research, and demonstration, I will give you the results right here. Also, I know Jake made a guide to wiring but some of the terms he uses may confuse people too. So in this post, I will simplify everything he says as well. Hope this helps.

Basics:
Alright so I will use the example Jake used. First of all, before you even think of wiring, you need the wiring tool. It can be found in the shop for 7.5K gems. It also cannot be traded so yes, you need it. Next, to demonstrate the use of the wiring tool, you need the things to wire. You need something with an input and another with an output. I will explain what this means later on. An example of an input item is a button or lever. An example of an output is the on/off light. Now I will explain. Input items have a red circle found at the bottom right corner when you have your wiring tool. Input means the item has a function that will activate, start etc. another item. While that other item, the output, receives the action of the input and performs another as well. Here is a picture.

(The lever is the input and the on/off light is the output. The lever activates the light)
So if you do this, hit the lever, and the light will switch to either red or green! If you want to unwire it, simply click/press on the output and press the input! If you want to wire multiple things, click/press on the input, select an output, then click/press on the input and select the other output. This can be applied to activate/deactivate traps, lock/unlock doors.

Gates

1.) AND gate
AND gate is one of the most simple gates. This applies to sensors. Like an example here, if the sensor senses me, it triggers a laser trap:

With the AND gate, there are two blue circles found at the left top corner. THIS IS IMPORTANT OR ELSE IT WONT WORK: Connect the sensor FIRST to the gate, after that, connect the input to the gate, then LAST, you connect it to the trap. If you hit the input, it will deactivate the trap even though the sensor is on.

2.) OR gate
The function of OR gates is that if you connect two or more inputs to the gate, then you connect the output to the gate, the output needs only one input to activate it. So basically, if one is off, it can still be activated with only one input. If both are off, it is off. If one is on, it is still on, if both are on, yes, it is on. If you check out the image here, if it is red, it means it is not activated, if it is green, it is activated.

3.) NOT gates
For the final basic gate for this wiring basic, if you connect a basic button (levers do not work) to the gate, and connect the output to the gate, once you hit the input, whatever the output is, it will activate, open etc. but the NOT gate automatically closes it after some time.

(If the button is green, the output will be activated, once the button is red, the not gate will deactivate it) Note that the pictures switched spots and the first one is when the NOT gate deactivate it.

I will also be making a separate post for the application of these. Another post about the rest of the gates will be made too. Anyways you can use this for your own creations. See you next time!

Are the images not loaded? Tell me

They are loaded fine, well done but you might have wasted your time there most people on the forums know how to wire scratch that nearly all active forumers knows how to wire

Maybe but this guide was actually useful, I’m newcomer to wiring so I’m happy to see something like such a guide but you are most likely right.

well, it was useful for me, im not very familiar with wiring…

Well I was just thinking that anyone who hasn’t bothered to learn about it yet probably wouldn’t want to world
