The “smaller” fishies you’re talking about are ones with less lbs.
Since they’re less heavy you’ll catch them faster, (more lbs = faster fishies). It’s all about the lbs, not the size of the fishies if they’re huge, medium or whatnot.
Those less heavy fishies are not related to the strike rate. You can get tons of light fishies in minutes but also get only one.
In short, since those fishies are faster to catch (like i’ve said, less lbs = slower fishies) fishers use that in tournaments to get more fishies within the time limit.
