I’m Sooooo glad if this is actually from my design
This is not how semantic versioning works…
You increment the first number by 1 when it’s a major update, the second number by 1 when it’s a minor update, and the third number by 1 when it’s a hotfix/patch. Incrementing the major update resets the minor/patch numbers to 0, and incrementing the minor update resets the patch number to 0.
It’s not like “this is update #70 so V1.7.0”.
