It was the realisation of obvious that no one cares about what, how many or how did you get those items and no matter how many hours you will spend inside the game. Nobody will actually care with the exception of friends. (In case if you have them). That there is no way a blob of pixels could make me happy playing a game that will give 0% of change in reality. The part that there was so many hours put into the game which makes it so hard to dump all the progress. After which came thoughts that sooner or later this game will shut down or I would stop playing. Either way this is similar to eating candies. Is it fun? At the moment yes, but after which comes regret of playing and wasting time. Which then could be drowned into more playing to increase dopamine. Was it worth it? Well of course no, but just like candies I still keep on playing from time to time.

This is exactly why they added pets, so you can invest more time and emotion into the game

Saddest part?

Being on your last round of black tower and dying right before reaching the top, throwing a glance at the lonely boxes above you, seeing that legendary waiting for you, waving at that legendary knowing that you’ll never cross paths again.
